SWAMP COOLER SERVICE · SEASONAL

Swamp Cooler Startup & Shutdown

Every May the same story: the cooler that sat all winter won't blow cold, and every company in town is booked two weeks out. Get on the list early — startup in spring, shutdown in fall, and mid-season fixes when the pump quits on a 98° day.

Seasonal service includes

Spring startup
Fresh pads, pump and float valve checked, belt tension set, bearings oiled, water line reconnected and leak-checked, test run.
Fall shutdown / winterization
Drain, water line disconnected and blown out, damper installed, cover fitted — so nothing cracks over winter.
Mid-season repairs
Dead pumps, snapped belts, stuck floats, dry spots on pads — usually a same-week fix.
Honest referrals
Motor replacements and electrical-circuit issues get referred straight — we'll tell you what it is before you pay anyone.

"So grateful for the amount of effort and patience these guys put in."

Common questions

In ABQ, mid-April to early May — before the first 90° week books every service company solid. Shutdown before the first hard freeze, usually late October.

Old pads and standing water. Fresh pads at startup plus a drain-and-clean fixes it — it's included in our startup.

A cooler costs pennies to run and works great in our dry climate; conversions to refrigerated air are a different (licensed) trade — we'll give you a straight opinion for your house.
